Morten Sønderskov joined Lunar almost four years ago with no previous experience in the financial and banking industry. Before joining, Morten had worked with Strategy, Business development and different kind of collaborations mostly within big corporations. He thinks the reason for being asked to join Lunar by the founder was that he had some experience in building up new big projects and doing it in the perception of doing it together with other companies. In the episode, we talk about how tech has impacted the banking industry, how Lunar is measuring engagement from the customers to improve their products and user experience.
Lunar is a 100% digital bank-app which means it is only existing in a mobile app. Their mission is to radically change the way we perceive, talk about and how we handle our money. The Lunar app has excellent ratings in most app stores, and they are working hard to become the best challenger bank in the Nordics with local services offered for each country. Today Lunar consists of a bank card that is connected to its app where the user has a lot of different tools that help them improve and understand their financials.
